Venues of Excellence consortium welcomes three outstanding new venues

The UK’s leading sales and marketing consortium has seen three new venues join the membership over the past few weeks, continuing the trend for unique, independent and diverse venues who see the consortium as a natural partner to support their business.

With quality and excellence key factors for Venues of Excellence (VOE) when auditing potential new members, not surprisingly there is a stellar line up in membership of the UK’s conference and event venues at the top end, and the newcomers underpin the Quality Pledges of the consortium.

Center Parcs who have with extensive conference and event facilities have joined membership with their Sherwood Forest and Woburn Forest venues, two exceptional spaces with unique experiences for delegates, and a host of teambuilding activities that are second to none. Julia Green, Sales and Commercial Manager, Center Parcs Conference and Events on joining commented: “We are thrilled to join the Venues of Excellence consortium, a partnership that reflects our commitment to delivering fantastic event experiences. This collaboration will enable us to build strong partnerships with others in the industry, share valuable insights, and continually improve our team’s skills through learning and development opportunities. Being part of this network will open the door to new business opportunities, so even more people can enjoy unique and unforgettable events in the forest.”

By contrast to these excellent forest venues, London City centre venue Friends House with conference facilities for up to 1,000 delegates  in London, and 35 meeting rooms, is perfectly located for conference and event organisers planning to host events in the Kings Cross, Euston and Bloomsbury areas of the capital.  Eamonn Cole, Head of Operations, Quiet Company around their decision to join the VOE family said: “It is a huge privilege for Friends House to have been taken into membership of Venues of Excellence. Having been in membership with Venues of Excellence in the past with other conference centres, I am fully aware of the very high standards required in quality of facilities and services, efficiency of operation, and absolute commitment to customer service for venues to be accepted. The consortium does very much encapsulate many of the very best conference and meeting venues in the country.

Not only do we welcome the marketing and promotional opportunities membership affords for Friends House in growing our business, we also really appreciate the commitment to shared best practice, continuous improvement and the excellent networking events provided that will prove invaluable to the development of all our Teams across Friends House.”

Mandy Jennings, CEO for Venues of Excellence works with the Advisory Group of member venues to ensure that all venues are audited before being invited to join the membership, ensuring that the ethos of the business sits strongly within the VOE family and members gain value from all the benefits to membership.  Mandy commented: “We are delighted to bring 3 new and diverse venues into membership, all with a golden thread of excellence and offering our clients completely inspiring spaces in Central London and regionally in the UK.  We are continuously on the look out for “best in class” conference and event specialist venues, who match our values and ethos, plus who we know will fit our fantastic community of operators who have a passion for our wonderful industry.  It is a pleasure to welcome Center Parcs and Friends House to our collection of excellent venues and we cannot wait to tell our customers all about these amazing locations and just how proud we are to represent them.”

Venues of Excellence now offers 53 venues with over 10,500 bedrooms and 1200 meeting rooms collectively within the membership.  Choosing to work with the Free Venue Finding Service, conference and event planners can be confident that the VOE team will work with them to find the right solution and venue to host their event each and every time.
