Following a successful collaboration at both the Instant Book Summit and the recent GRATIS forum, where Trees4Travel helped us calculate and then kindly offset the carbon emissions for our events through one of their tree planting projects, we have decided to work together to take this a step further.
We’re delighted to share that we are working on a new initiative which will offer a pre-event carbon calculation as part of the venue-finding process on our software. Trees4Travel have developed a tool that will provide an App situated within GRATIS platform, that calculates the carbon emissions generated from a meeting or event prior to the event taking place, during the event itself and post-event. The tech will then produce a downloadable visual infographic report on the event with accompanying script so that hosts can present to delegates the important work undertaken on their behalf to produce a gathering that is both people and planet positive. Plus, as our name suggests, and despite the completely comprehensive nature of the tool and its ability to bring carbon positive events to all our clients, the Trees4Events carbon solution is completely free of charge.
It’s a total solution that, once you have calculated the emissions, enables you to more than compensate for the carbon emissions created by the conference through various reforestation projects in developing countries such as Haiti and Nepal, and also in UN certified renewable energy projects across the world.
