In our Queen’s 90th birthday year it would only be fitting that we would have an article on the Royal Ascot, but the truth is this is a consistent big player and a legend in the events industry. With the largest number of Private Boxes of any sporting facility in Europe this is a key ticket for any hospitality needs with over 150 bars, 19 bars and 15 private dining facilities ready for your staff.
This year we see the return of double Michelin Starred Philip Howard after a successful five day stint last year. “Last year the feedback from racegoers who ate in his restaurant was incredible. He really is back by popular demand” says Juliet Slot, Commercial Director of Ascot. Along with Howard is the world renowned Raymond Blanc OBE (who also carries two Michelin stars), also running the Panoramic Restaurant.
Blanc also takes on advisory role throughout 2016 and will be running a bespoke Service Academy for Ascot staff involved in fine dining. “All of my working life, I have strived for excellence and providing our guests with the best possible experience” Blanc enthused “I believe that the guests experience is as much about the service as it is the food. As it should be” . Be assured, you will be treated like…well, royalty. They are joined by Gemma Amor who has been a chef at Ascot for 20 years as they lead a team of 300 chefs to ensure each and every plate is perfect.Where you can expect to see the Prestige Events team dressed in our best Audrey Hepburn Eliza Doolittle gladrags is the week of 14th-18th June. This week will see some of the world’s finest horses compete for more than £5.5 million in prize money in front of her Royal Highness, the Queen of England who has attended each and every time during her reign. Anticipated and revered, these five days are made for socialising but it now goes without saying that fashion also plays an important part of the occasion with the event referenced the world over. It’s worth noting that events run throughout the year at Ascot (worth a look on their site if you’re on holiday in June) so WHEN you have the best day out in recent memory you’ll definitely be checking out their website where you can book in for events all year long. Us? We’ve got our eyes on the Ascot Beer Festival in late September.
