Unique Venues of London is proud to announce the addition of two new members to the association, welcoming English National Ballet and Camley Street Natural Park.
Located on London City Island, the Mulryan Centre for Dance is home to English National Ballet and offers 6 varied event spaces available for venue hire. The impressive building, winner of the RIBA National Award for Architecture 2021, has a wealth of blank canvas production and rehearsal studios including the Holloway Production Studio with a full fly tower, the open Wigoder Gallery that overlooks a contemporary Dorfman Foyer plus a stunning roof terrace.
Simone Barnes, Head of Commercial Hire and Events at English National Ballet comments: “English National Ballet is beyond excited to join the Unique Venues of London, and work alongside its wonderful member organisations. We value UVL’s experience and expertise in the industry and we look forward to exploring our partnership together.”
Nestled on the banks of Regent’s Canal, Camley Street Natural Park is London Wildlife Trust’s most centrally-located, two-acre reserve. Just 5 minutes from Kings Cross St Pancras, this hidden gem is a blooming wildflower oasis, saved and protected after previously being used a coal drop for a nearby station demolished in the 1960’s.
This green oasis, accessible to wheelchairs, boasts a light, airy Kingfisher Suite and ‘Under The Canopy’ experience; fully licensed for weddings and civil partnerships whilst blossoming meadow views can be enjoyed from the Terrace & Nature Reserve – home to over 47 bird varieties.
Jessica Parkes, Event Sales Manager of London Wildlife Trust adds: “We are thrilled for Camley Street Natural Park to become part of the prestigious Unique Venues of London collection. After undergoing a full renovation and rewilding project concluding in 2021, we felt the time was right to go full speed ahead with establishing our name in the London venue sector. We couldn’t think of a better place to do this than alongside some of London’s finest venues. Sustainability and Community Engagement are at the heart of what we do here at London Wildlife Trust, and we are so excited to share our knowledge and experiences on how to build a more sustainable and inclusive future for the events sector with our fellow members.”
Lisa Hatswell, Managing Director of Unique Venues of London concludes: “It’s a privilege for us to welcome these two venues into our association, enhancing our diverse portfolio of organisations that have an unrivalled commitment to providing extraordinary experiences for event hire clients. Their inclusion showcases the profound impact that both cultural institutions and green spaces have on the events landscape. We look forward to continuing to redefine the possibilities of alternative events spaces in our capital.”
