Following the success of hosting two COVID-secure bubbles for the England national men’s rugby union team, The Lensbury has launched a corporate retreat offering to allow businesses to book events and stays within COVID-secure bubbles while social distancing restrictions are still in place.
Businesses of all sizes can now book bespoke corporate events within a COVID-secure bubble environment, with exclusive use of selected parts of the resort in a safe and secure space. Lateral flow testing for all delegates prior to entering the bubble ensures complete peace of mind from those attending.
The Lensbury developed and implemented a COVID-secure strategy during the government-enforced lockdown to provide a ‘bubble’ environment to enable the England national rugby union team to live, train and socialise in a safe and secure environment, in line with COVID-19 protocols.
To ensure the safety of both its client and staff members for a nine and half week period, the four-star resort in Teddington operated a dedicated live-in hotel team and reconfigured the site to enable those staying within the bubble to have full exclusive use of selected parts of the hotel accommodation, dining areas, vast elite sports facilities, rugby pitches and meeting and event spaces.
During the duration of the bubble, The Lensbury team adopted enhanced COVID-secure safety protocols to ensure the successful delivery of the project. The bubble was kept completely secure from the public, leading to no COVID-19 cases during the duration and high client satisfaction.
Following the launch in autumn 2020, The Lensbury successfully delivered a further COVID-secure bubble in March 2021 for the duration of the England rugby team’s 2021 Six Nations Championship.
