South Lodge, part of Exclusive Collection, was named Sustainable Hotel of the Year at the prestigious Hotel Cateys on Monday 13th November.
The West Sussex hotel was recognised for combining significant green initiatives with sound business sense, “setting an example on sustainability”. As the UK’s first B Corp certified hotel group, Exclusive Collection is relentless in its pursuit of using business as a force for good through measurement, improvement and accountability of its actions and initiatives.
Sustainability is a huge focus and driving force for General Manager Dan Wait and his team with the commitment crossing every department and reaching every person within the hotel and the wider South Lodge estate.
Dan Wait, General Manager at South Lodge, comments: “This win means so much to the South Lodge team and to my wider Exclusive Collection colleagues as we’ve all made a massive commitment to sustainability through our B Corp certification. Being sustainable is in our bones at South Lodge and our ongoing focus continues to be on challenging, changing and championing every touchpoint in the hotel to minimise our impact on the planet.
“Well done to everyone who was shortlisted at the Hotel Cateys. We look forward to welcoming our members, guests, event planners and delegates to the Sustainable Hotel of the Year!”
