RIBA at 66 Portland Place will welcome back Truth Tellers: The Sir Harry Evans Investigative Journalism Summit for the third time in May 2025. Marking one of the final events at the venue before its temporary closure for a major refurbishment, the summit will once again take over the entire venue on an exclusive use basis.
The one-day summit is set to bring together over 400 leading figures from media, politics, and activism to discuss the intensifying forces putting truth under threat in the world today. The event will also be livestreamed on Reuters and Tortoise.
Taking over six floors of the Art Deco building, including the Jarvis Hall Auditorium, Florence Hall, RIBA Gallery, RIBA Café and 6th Floor Suite, the venue will be transformed into a hub of insightful discourse and intellectual exchange with the summit offering an extensive agenda featuring multi-media conference sessions and a Reuters photojournalism exhibition, carefully crafted to inspire and equip the next generation of truth-seekers.
Catering will be provided by 66 Portland Place’s in-house catering partner, Company of Cooks, with sustainability baked in to every menu.
Thomas Morgan, Head of Venues and Events Delivery at 66 Portland Place, comments: “We are really pleased to be welcoming back the team behind the Truth Tellers Summit for the third year running. The summit is not only a pivotal annual event for the journalism industry, but it’s also a highlight in our venue hire diary. We love seeing the venue fully taken over for an event of this kind with every space having a purpose and contributing to a day of learning, reflection and action.”
Éireann Henderson, Executive Producer of the Summit, adds: “Truth Tellers is delighted to be returning to RIBA’s London HQ for a 3rd year. RIBA offers unparalleled venue flexibility and event freedom, working with experienced, resourceful industry professionals who take each request in their stride and strive for excellence across all areas, leaving the TT team to convene the world’s most dogged and diverse truth seekers and deepen the global networks that support fearless inquiry, celebrate the industry’s great practitioners and new trailblazers, and, above all, remind the world why serious journalism is indispensable.”
