The Science Museum in South Kensington is offering organisers the opportunity to hire the entire museum for a full day on either a Monday or Tuesday, or both, for a limited time only.
The museum takeover is ideal for larger events or those requiring numerous spaces as clients will have access to the revamped IMAX: The Ronson Theatre or dedicated events space, Illuminate, for their main plenary session, with the museum’s incredible galleries, including Making the Modern World, Energy Hall, Flight and Exploring Space, available for breakout sessions, networking, drinks receptions and dinners.
This is the first time the entire museum will be available for exclusive hire during the day, and the response has been positive with businesses looking to bring their teams and clients back together face-to-face to enjoy a memorable event experience, within a low footfall, safe environment.
Imperial College was the first to take advantage of this limited-time only experience. The college hosted its Student Induction Day earlier this week and utilised the Energy Hall for registration, the IMAX for the main plenary session and Illuminate for catering and networking. And later this year, Art Fund will be using Making the Modern World to host the Museum of the Year awards which will be broadcast live on the BBC.
Jodie Guilford, Business Development Manager at the Science Museum, says: “With the return of in-person and hybrid events following the lifting of Covid restrictions in July, we’re delighted that we can offer a new event experience at the Science Museum with the opportunity to take over the museum in its entirety on a Monday or Tuesday.
“Our museum takeover is ideal for larger events, but it is also perfect for smaller-scale hospitality events where creating a unique experience for clients is the key priority, as well as events requiring numerous different areas or breakout spaces throughout the day and into the evening. This opportunity is only available until March 2022, so we are encouraging anyone interested to take advantage quickly to secure your preferred date!”
