Paul Fitzpatrick has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer at Identity, at a group level, with the task of continuing to develop the agency’s international presence and realising its ambition to be one of the leading names in global events.
Paul, who joined the business in 2012, has been a central part of the agency’s expansion, originally within the UK market, and more recently into the Middle East. His new role will see the continuation of this growth strategy, addressing new international markets, including the US, expansion of the Middle East business, whilst capitalising on Identity’s heritage as the name behind of some of the most significant event productions of our time, for some of the world’s most successful brands and organisations.
Paul will also work alongside Group CEO Michael Gietzen as the agency considers acquisitions that add value to the group, continuing in-organic growth across the business and supporting the agency to expand its corporate and brand event portfolio, all key parts of the company’s 2024 strategy.
“This is a big move for Identity and an endorsement of the talent we have within the business. Paul has played a pivotal part of our growth over the last 10 years and played a key role in our expansion into the Middle East,” commented Michael Gietzen, Group CEO, Identity. “He has the experience and know how to lead our international growth into the US, to support our M&A programme, and to continue to establish Identity as the human experience agency.”
“We have an amazing blueprint here at Identity, and we’ve curated some of the most important events of a generation, in multiple territories,” adds Paul. “This move is the continuation of this strategy, where we use our understanding of Human Experience, our creativity, our belief in the power of live events, and our ability to set up local networks with the best people around, to produce successful, challenger businesses around the world.”
