Museum of London reveals 2021 Christmas party packages – ‘London Winter Nights’ and ‘Light up the Night’ – as it looks ahead to a busy festive season

The Museum of London is looking to repeat its most successful festive season in 2019, as Christmas parties return following an enforced hiatus in 2020 due to the pandemic. With corporates looking to get their Christmas parties back in the diary this year, the Museum of London has already recorded 43 enquires worth over £550k, with 6 confirmations to date.

Partnering with London venue caterer Moving Venue, the Museum of London is offering an all-inclusive package sparkling with creative, contemporary and delicious food, from canape receptions to elegant dining affairs. The ‘London Winter Nights’ journey will begin with guests enjoying a glass of sparkling wine on arrival from the stylish Entrance Hall bar, before passing through the beautiful 18th Century Pleasure Gardens and evocative Victorian Walk as they make their way to the London Ellipse Hall with its show-stopping 360-degree LED ellipse. Here, your choice of reception or dinner menu will be served, with guests able to dance the night away to the house DJ. This package is available from £76pp (based on minimum numbers).

To enhance this festive experience even further, a number of upgrades are available including the addition of guided tours, actors and actresses who can mingle with guests, as well as live entertainment and bands, extra hours drinks from 11pm and goody bags from the museum shop.

Over at the Museum of London Docklands, in collaboration with new catering partner Bovingdons, the museum will ‘Light up the Night’ this Christmas period with a fantastic selection of reception and dinner packages to match its stunning backdrop. Available from £58pp (subject to minimum numbers), guests will enjoy incredible food, the choice of three beautifully decorated warehouse-inspired spaces – the Rum Store, the new Riverside Room or the No. 1 Warehouse Galley – complete with DJ and dancefloor, as well as exclusive access to the museum’s galleries.

Following the launch of the new Riverside Room earlier this year, the Museum of London Docklands will, for the first time, be able to accommodate up to 900 guests on the ground floor across the Riverside Room, Rum Store and Muscovado Hall. Access to the outside terrace, which overlooks the Quayside, is also included and has additional capacity for 350 guests.

The ‘London Winter Nights’ and ‘Light up the Night’ packages can be tailored to your budget and preferences and include full event support, comprehensive drinks and catering options, and state of the art AV facilities.

Sarah McQueen, Assistant Head of Commercial Services at the Museum of London, says: “Our 2019 festive season was our most successful yet and we’d hoped to build on this in 2020, and while unfortunately the pandemic put paid to this, we’re expecting this year to be even bigger and better than ever before! After such a tough 18 months, companies will be looking to reward and thank their teams and we are already seeing this trend coming into fruition with a very healthy number of Christmas party bookings and enquiries already. Our themed packages are designed to help simplify the planning process, whilst creating an incredible and memorable experience for guests as they enjoy after-hours access to our museums.”
