The event featured an exceptional lineup of performances, speeches, and culinary delights, crafted to showcase Moving Venue’s unique offering and celebrate its vision for the future.
Moving Venue were the first caterer to ever deliver an event at the Natural History Museum, so it was only fitting to host their 40th anniversary celebration there. The evening was a stunning blend of creativity, elegance, and a tribute to the company’s four decades of innovation in the event industry. The evening began with guests entering the museum’s reimagined five-acre nature garden before enjoying a reception with an array of canapés including ‘Smoked Chalkstream® trout, apple, wasabi snow, caviar ‘and ‘Pea, asparagus, truffle custard tart’.
The theme ‘Rebellious by Nature’ came to life through a series of immersive experiences, including a dramatic floral installation that challenged convention and a menu that celebrated sustainability and innovative flavours. Guests were guided through the “40 Years of Moving Venue” exhibition, where they enjoyed highlights displaying the expertise of London’s most trusted caterer. The exhibition featured notable items such as menus from the Microsoft Windows launch party and the Channel Tunnel opening, as well as a letter from the Deputy Private Secretary to Queen Elizabeth II, thanking Moving Venue for their role in the launch of HS1.
Guests were treated to a culinary journey that echoed the evening’s theme, with dishes that were as beautiful as they were delicious, showcasing Moving Venue’s commitment to excellence and creativity.

We have always strived to defy expectations and deliver extraordinary experiences, and last night was a testament to that spirit.
‘We continue to invest heavily in both our product and in our team. Where we have led the way before, we will continue to reach for the next challenge, testing boundaries, and continue to focus on exceeding client expectations and delivering time and time again. We announced earlier this year the launch of the Moving Venue Academy which kicks off this Autumn as we set out to train and develop our venue partners in the dark art of catering, which is just one of our ways of giving back to the industry and we were delighted to have our mentees here with us last night”.
The event featured a line-up of entertainment that kept guests enthralled throughout the evening, including live performances from West End Musicals Chicago and Cabaret and a stunning performance from 80s-star, Carol Decker.
As the evening progressed, the atmosphere became increasingly vibrant, with guests celebrating not just the legacy of Moving Venue, but also the future of the company and, the Natural History Museum, with its rich history and connection to the natural world, provided the perfect backdrop.
