Top Outdoor brands including Montane, Salomon, Salkan, Salewa, Yurts for Life, Cactus Drinkwell, Latitude Adventures, The Outdoor Guide and Savage Adventures have joined the line-up at The National Outdoor Expo in March 2021 at the NEC Birmingham, increasing the Expo’s footing as the largest Outdoor pursuits event in the UK. These newly announced names join other big brands including Adidas Terrex, HOKA ONE ONE and our retail partner Ellis Brigham.
The organisers, Raccoon Events, have also confirmed that the show will feature a climbing wall sponsored by Montane in collaboration with the BMC, a sky-high rope walk, zip line, outdoor skills theatre, VIP Lounge sponsored by Yurts for Life, Outdoor Cooking demonstrations from Kieran Creevey as well as inspiring talks and the very latest gear to try and buy, all under one roof.
Montane along with their longstanding partner, the BMC, will attend the show to share their passion for preserving the outdoors. They will bring with them the Montane x BMC collab range that contributes 5% of UK sales to the BMC’s ‘The Climate Project’ which helps to recover the English moors. Matt Hickman, Global Marketing Manager at Montane XBMC commented: “We’re excited to be involved with the National Expo, it provides a platform for us to talk directly to our consumers and share some of the vital work that is required to tackle climate change. We’ve been working hard with the BMC to promote the Climate Project and the show will give others who are interested an opportunity to get involved. Plus, we can get some training in on the wall in time for Spring!”
Yurts for Life, a Devon-based company producing hand-crafted yurts from locally sourced Ash will provide visitors the opportunity to experience their artisan Yurts at the Expo and will sponsor the VIP Lounge at the event. Sacha Macey, from Yurts for Life, commented: “We are delighted to work with The National Outdoor Expo, as our mission aligns – to get people outside! We have long pondered over why we love making yurts and have realised that seeing people enjoy them in the outdoors, is what keeps us motivated. The benefits of breathing in the wild air of the countryside, help keep us all going in these testing times.”
The show will have six key areas: walking, climbing, eating outdoors, camping, excursions and running and is open to enthusiasts of all ages and abilities. Visitors will have a chance to listen to, learn from and meet their outdoor idols including Ben Fogle, James Cracknell OBE, Dwayne Fields, Bex Brand, Anna McNuff, Sabrina Pace-Humphries, Jesse Dufton, Jude Palmer, Kieran Creevy, Susie Chan and Russell Smith.
