With much to see and do within the hotel itself, the amazing Josiah’s Bar and Restaurant boasts international European cuisine as well as modern, flexible co-working spaces. The hotel also adjoins the historical state of the art Etruria Hall, formerly the home of Josiah Wedgwood. The historical state-of-the-art conference and events centre Etruria Hall overlooks beautiful, landscaped gardens and is perfect for business meetings to big white weddings. There are many local attractions to visit, including the World of Wedgwood Pottery Museum, Trentham Monkey Forest, Alton Towers and Waterworld.

Following the recent additions of the Hampton by Hilton Waterloo (297 keys), the Doubletree by Hilton York (143 keys) and the East London Hotel, Bethnal Green (161 keys) in the last few weeks, The Welcombe Hotel is the latest hotel added to the M&T portfolio that has come through its operating partnership with the hotel investment vehicle, Conquer Dawn. The hotel was acquired from Vivion Hotels and is the third asset in as many months to be acquired by Conquer Dawn.
The Welcombe Hotel, a well-known Golf and Spa hotel located in Stratford upon Avon, has 91 bedrooms and is a Grade II listed building. It boasts character and original features in landscaped grounds, making it a popular choice for leisure and events guests. The intention is to significantly invest in the property and reposition it as one of the best golf and spa hotels in its market.
Richard Kwiecien, Operations Director, M&T Hotel Management commented to say, “We are delighted that Conquer Dawn has secured another great asset for its portfolio. The Welcombe is such a lovely hotel and with the investment plans M&T has developed with the investors, it will become a truly iconic hotel in the UK country house market.
We have a number of hotels in the pipeline and will continue to build on these initial acquisitions over the coming months to create a quality portfolio of hotel assets across the UK and Europe.”
