Nightcap PLC, the leading, award-winning hospitality group led by industry entrepreneur and ex-Dragons’ Den investor Sarah Willingham is the latest member to join Zero Carbon Forum, the ambitious non-profit organisation dedicated to significantly reducing emissions and achieving net zero in hospitality and brewing.
The forum features some of the biggest names in the Hospitality and Brewing industry. Its 50+ members pledge to work collaboratively and share best practice and knowledge as one united force to achieve net zero by 2030 across their own operations, and 2040 across the supply chain.
Nightcap currently has 36 venues across the UK and includes The Cocktail Club, Barrio, Tonight Josephine, Blame gloria and Disrepute.
Nightcap is committed to sustainability and has already integrated various policies into its operations. These include collaborating with OAK to analyse energy consumption across the Nightcap group, implementing smart plugs to conserve electricity during non-operational hours, and turning off air conditioning during off-peak periods. Additionally, Nightcap is actively working towards training programs for all of its staff for energy use and its impact.
Sarah Willingham, Founder and CEO, Nightcap said: “This is another giant step in Nightcap’s journey to be joining the Zero Carbon forum and working together as an industry. As a young company we want to start exercising and showing best practice now to start creating a long-lasting legacy in our business and in the hospitality sector.”
