Exclusive Collection’s MD, Danny Pecorelli, was awarded the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ by Boutique Hotelier last night.
The award was presented by Boutique Hotelier’s senior editor Zoe Monk who recognised Danny for his commitment and vision in creating a positive and long-lasting impact on his people, the planet and the organisation’s purpose.
Exclusive Collection is a privately owned, family business founded forty years ago by noted hotelier ‘GP’, Giuseppe Pecorelli. GP’s son, Danny, studied hotel management at Cornell University and worked his formative years at The Savoy with a stint in the USA before joining the family company in 1991. Danny has worked in various roles in the organisation continuously earning his stripes and became MD in 1997.
Danny has championed Exclusive’s uncompromising stance on sustainability which led to the company becoming the UK’s first certified B Corp hotel brand in 2021. His commercial focus and passion for the business of hospitality has ensured that the company challenges and champions innovation and best practices, as well as providing learning and development for the sector’s shining stars through the company’s noted Graduate Management Scheme and its highly respected 2-year Chefs’ Academy. A figurehead for the hospitality industry, Danny is a regular contributor and spokesperson, as well as playing an influential role in ‘Back to the Floor’ raising significant funds for Hospitality Action, the charity for the sector.
