Church House, Westminster expands events offering with raft of new facilities

Heart of London events venue, Church House, Westminster has expanded its meetings and events offering with the launch of a dynamic new events space. Temple Room is just one of a series of recent upgrades that enhance the unique venue’s world-class facilities.

A modern, purpose-built space ideal for boardroom meetings, training sessions and workshops, Temple Room is a vibrant hub of connectivity which adds an innovative dynamic to Church House’s versatile range of 19 inspiring and adaptable events spaces. With web-streaming and live broadcasting available, a 64-inch plasma screen, and hard-wired inter-connectivity to all other rooms, it can be utilised flexibly as a standalone space or as a breakout room within a larger multi-purpose event.

Temple Room’s launch coincides with the Grade II listed venue opening up its picturesque outside area for summer parties and events. Dean’s Yard, a tranquil and elegant green space nestled in the glow of historic Westminster Abbey, gives clients the freedom and flexibility to expand their imaginations and create unforgettable events in the open air, or bring a little extra sparkle to their indoor events with the addition of an outdoor drinks reception.

Marina Papadopoulou Head of Business Development said: “Here at Church House, we pride ourselves on our personal approach, people-led strategy, and the genuine connections we build with our clients which enable us to provide unparalleled levels of service. This is why we’re so excited for clients to feel the benefit of our wonderful new facilities and upgrades; our clients are always at the heart of our decision making and these changes have been implemented with their needs in mind.

“We have so much to look forward to in 2024 – it is an exhilarating time for us, and we can’t wait to shout about it with the support of our expert new PR agency, communications specialists Davies Tanner.”

As part of its wide-ranging sweep of upgrades, Church House has built a separate conference entrance on Great Smith Street to increase ease and convenience for guests travelling from different transport hubs. This is as well as increasing toilet facilities, improving accessibility, upgrading common areas and a state of the art and green refurbishment of offices for the team and tenants of Church House

On track to become a carbon neutral venue six years ahead of target by the end of 2024, the multi-purpose conference centre has built sustainability into the heart of its upgrades. This has included working only with sustainable suppliers, redecorating rooms with carbon absorbing paint, installing energy efficient spray cork insulation, building light up walls made of recycled washing machines, installing waterless urinals and fitting carbon-saving LED lighting throughout the building and in the AV technology.

Ensuring Church House continues to be the beacon of community and inclusivity it is renowned for, this year the venue has also built a new Multi-Faith Room, a well-being room and upgraded its baby changing facilities, both of which are due to be unveiled in June. This is alongside building a bustling new café, also scheduled to open its doors in late 2024.
