Church House, Westminster closes standout year with record-breaking Christmas party sales

Unique London events venue, Church House, Westminster, has had a record-breaking year for Christmas party bookings, with eight taking place this festive season and one already confirmed for Christmas 2025. For the first time ever, the Grade II listed venue in the heart of the capital has hosted parties as early as November to meet soaring demand.

This caps a stellar year for the multipurpose events and conference centre in which it increased its new business clients by almost 60 per cent and welcomed back over 40 per cent of returning clients.

Hosting more than 800 events each year across its 19 dynamic events spaces, Church House has opened its doors to a plethora of large-scale events this year including charity balls, a fashion show, and seven events which saw the entire venue hired exclusively for two days or more. These included the annual conferences of the International Sugar Organisation and the Stellar Development Foundation, as well as the symposium and awards ceremony for the HbbTV Association.

Such confidence in Church House is reflected in the abundance of award wins and nominations it achieved in 2024. It was crowned ‘Best Conference Venue’ at the London Venue & Catering Awards and awarded Silver for ‘Best Venue Customer Service’ at the Conference & Events Awards. The historic venue was also named as a finalist for ‘Best UK Unusual Venue’ at the M&IT Awards, ‘Best UK Venue’ at the Micebook Awards, and ‘Best Venue’ at the Conference & Events Awards.

With a noticeable increase in bookings this year, particularly from the U.S., Church House expanded its expert team with three new hires. Charlotte Brumby and Ben Markham joined as Sales Executives to support the acquisition of new business, while Kavane Hammond utilised his planning expertise in his new role as Event Coordinator.

In an exciting year ahead for the award-winning venue, the team will be exhibiting at 23 exhibitions around the globe including 11 across Europe and the U.S. and 12 within the UK. This includes the M&I Forum, The BNC Show, SMU International, and The Meetings Show, as well as attending IBTM World and IMEX.

Vedrana Dancerelle, Head of Operations at Church House, said: “2024 has been an incredible year and we can’t wait to make 2025 even better. As ever, our wonderful clients have been at the heart of our success. We deeply value our relationships with them and are immensely grateful for their continued support. As a people-focussed organisation, we believe each client deserves a truly personalised experience; no two events are the same and, as a team of passionate, imaginative and dedicated professionals, we take great pride in making sure every one is extraordinary and unforgettable.”
