Broadwick and KERB partner to launch a new dynamic destination in London combining food, live music, and the UK’s first integrated vertical farm.

Corner Corner, a new multi-use destination where food, culture, live music and sustainable farming come together, will open its doors this Spring in Canada Water. Spanning over 55,000 square feet, Corner Corner has been curated by Broadwick and KERB as a flagship venue for British Land and AustralianSuper’s £4bn Canada Water Masterplan.

The concept created by Broadwick, reimagines what a modern, multi-use space can be by bringing together brilliant kitchen residencies in a visually stunning food hall, innovative sustainable farming, and a distinctive take on the contemporary jazz club, all under one roof.

With a strong emphasis on sustainability, at the heart of the venue is London’s biggest commercial indoor vertical farm, developed by Harvest London. It provides an incredibly diverse range of fresh, locally-grown produce directly to the food hall and all-day café, and will also supply restaurants across London in a mission to build a sustainable, hyper-local food system. Interactive experiences will also be hosted at Corner Corner, encouraging local communities to engage creatively with sustainable produce and cooking.

“We’re thrilled to be at the heart of Corner Corner, bringing London’s biggest commercial indoor vertical farm to life in such an inspiring creative space,” said Chris Davies, CEO of Harvest London. “Our mission is to transform the way we grow, distribute, and consume food, and Corner Corner provides the perfect environment to showcase the possibilities of hyper-local, sustainable farming.”

The dining experience has been curated by KERB, early pioneers of the street food scene in London and the operator of Seven Dials Market. KERB have evolved the food hall experience at Corner Corner, promising a line-up that represents the diversity of London’s independent food scene, while championing sustainability.

Meanwhile Broadwick will take charge of Corner Corner’s live music, partnering with some of the most influential artists to deliver powerful programming. This includes a rotating line-up of resident selectors on Thursday evenings, spinning an eclectic mix of jazz, funk, soul & disco and world music, and a programme of live jazz performances and ticketed shows every Friday and Saturday.

“Each visit to Corner Corner offers a fresh experience that pushes creative boundaries,” said Simon Tracey, CEO of Broadwick. “It’s not just about scale, but about rethinking what spaces like this can do — from cultivating an environment where the most exciting talent in the jazz scene want to perform, to installing a one of a kind vertical farm that makes sustainability both visually stunning and integral to the food on your plate. Everything about Corner Corner is groundbreaking – it is a landmark project for Canada Water and London’s cultural scene.”

“We saw an opportunity to do something fresh and push food halls in a new direction.” Simon Mitchell, CEO of KERB added. “Street food is always evolving and challenging your expectations – from pop-up markets to feeding thousands of people at world-class venues. Corner Corner is the next chapter in that story – championing sustainability and setting a new standard for what street food and food halls can be”.

Corner Corner, subject to final planning and licensing, is a key component of the Canada Water Masterplan, a £4bn regeneration initiative by British Land that will deliver over 1 million sq. ft. of retail, leisure, and education spaces, thousands of new homes, acres of new open spaces including a new town square. Corner Corner’s unique blend of food, music, and sustainability will play a central role in establishing Canada Water as one of London’s most dynamic neighbourhoods.

Roger Madelin, Head of Canada Water at British Land commented: “Having worked with world leading organisations Broadwick and KERB for many years we never cease to be amazed with their appealing, relevant and uplifting ideas, and Corner Corner is going to be no different. This new cultural venue is a totally fresh concept, so whether a resident, an office worker or visitor to the area, Corner Corner will have the wow factor to keep people returning to Canada Water time and again.”

Corner Corner’s 18,000 sq ft live events space will be hireable – with a major immersive experience due to be announced imminently.
