The hottest names in the world of music, arts, culture, food and drink; Mahalia, Amelia Dimoldenberg, Naughty Boy, Gizzi Erskine, Yomi Adegoke, Harry Pinero, Crystal Perreira and Felicity Hayward headed to The Standard, London’s, Double Standard, the 70’s-inspired bar, restaurant & garden to celebrate the opening of the Morley’s x Heinz pop-up chicken shop.
A chicken shop date like no other, guests arrived at Double Standard, kitted out with souped up neon signs, tables dressed in tablecloths with the Morley’s signature chequered print and a custom claw game to win coveted Morley’s necklaces and Heinz sauce & prizes. The evening had fried chicken, plenty of sauce and flowing drinks, plus music performances, including a surprise appearance from legendary British rapper Chip.
The event marks the opening of the month-long pop-up chicken shop (7th August – 3rd September). Double Standard is serving an exclusive menu with elevated Morley’s items as well as the limited-edition Morley’s x Heinz Fried Chicken Sauce – the ultimate pairing for Fried Chicken. The Standard-ised menu includes caviar topped fried chicken, glazed-to-order Heinz sauce wings and Mirinda cream sundaes dusted in Heinz Ketchup sherbet. Throughout the month of August, Double Standard will also host some of London’s most exciting up and coming DJ talent on alternating Friday and Saturday nights from 9pm. Expect sets from Vanessa Maria, Shy One and Martelo v Oneman.
