The Belfry Hotel & Resort, in Royal Sutton Coldfield, North Warwickshire, is delighted to announce the life-changing charities it will be supporting in 2025. Helping to ensure those who work tirelessly for others have the funding they need to carry out their vital work, the award-winning resort will be fundraising for three charities which make a real and unforgettable difference to people who need it most.
Having raised over £21,000 for charity in 2024, The Belfry’s partnerships this year include the Bodie Hodges Foundation. Founded in memory of Bodie Hodges to offer bereavement support to families who have lost a child, the foundation aims to create a compassionate community and a range of resources for families navigating profound loss in the Midlands area. Already a proud supporter of the foundation, The Belfry has hosted the charity’s annual golf day for seven years.
Nick Hodges, Founder of the Bodie Hodges Foundation, said: “We feel extremely privileged to have been selected as a charity partner for The Belfry Hotel & Resort. To be aligned with such an iconic sporting venue, known worldwide for its historic association with the Ryder Cup, is almost beyond belief for a small charity like ours.
“Over the past seven years we have built extremely strong relationships with the fantastic staff that work across the resort, and we are both proud and excited to continue working with them throughout 2025. This partnership will not only raise vital funds to support families bereaved of a child, but will also help raise our profile on a global scale.”
For the second year running, the resort will be partnering with the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association, a national charity dedicated to helping individuals and families affected by MND, as well as improving access to care and funding research.
The Belfry will also continue its long-standing and unwavering support for Hospitality Action. Providing relief for hospitality workers in crisis, the charity is a safety net for its service users, supplying everything from financial assistance to mental health resources.
Chris Eigelaar, Resort Director at The Belfry Hotel & Resort, said: “Our Belfry People are the beating heart of the resort. Passionate, caring and dedicated, it’s no surprise to me that departments across the resort are so eager to get involved and energised to raise as much money as possible for these incredible charities. It’s about community and being there for others during the times when they need it most. Here at The Belfry, we’re committed to supporting the vital work of all these causes.”
Money will be raised through dedicated events, planned and organised by departments resort-wide, during each month of the year. This began in January with The Belfry’s annual awards ceremony which raised over £2,000 for the Bodie Hodges Foundation. With every department from greenkeeping, sales and front desk to finance, spa and security taking part, last year’s events included car washes, sponsored walks, golf challenges, tough mudders, marathons, competitions, The Belfry Auction, and the Walk for Wellbeing.
