Butlin’s, the UK’s leading destination for fun-filled events, is taking its Conference & Events offering to the next level with brand new menus designed to meet the evolving expectations of corporate clients.
The newly designed menus—crafted by Butlin’s in-house Food Development team—offer a wide range of choices to suit all tastes and dietary needs, while reflecting current trends in client requests. With an emphasis on variety, flexibility, and shared dining experiences, the menus are tailored to meet the evolving needs of corporate clients who seek memorable and engaging food experiences for their delegates.
Cat Turnbull, Conferences & Events Manager for Butlin’s explained, “With the shift towards more flexible working, we know that corporate clients are now looking for ways to make their events feel more engaging and dynamic, and food plays an important part in that. Mealtimes are a key opportunity to create shared experiences. With our new menus, we offer plenty of options to satisfy everyone, ensuring that mealtimes become memorable moments of connection and fun.”
The popular Dine Around concept, which once split delegates across multiple restaurants with limited menu choices, has been elevated into an option for exclusive restaurant hire. This allows corporate clients to bring their entire team together in one venue for a more cohesive and engaging dining experience. The full menu is also available with exclusive hire, providing more variety and choice, and clients can even add a DJ to the setting for a seamless transition into post-dinner entertainment.
Butlin’s is also leading the way in experiential dining, where food isn’t just something to eat but an experience in itself. With its own fleet of street food trucks, Butlin’s is able to provide a fully integrated, all-in-one festival experience—removing the need for third-party hires and offering clients an added layer of convenience and value. As Turnbull notes, “Pre-pandemic, it was all about ‘bowl food,’ but we’ve moved away from that in favour of something more dynamic. Our Street Food offering allows delegates to connect and share a fun experience together in a more relaxed, informal setting.”
Beyond experiential dining, Butlin’s also offers more traditional Gala Dinner options, which remains a popular choice for larger events. For the Poundland event, Butlin’s hosted a Gala Dinner in Studio 36, transforming the venue to accommodate over 1,000 guests, including three pop-up kitchens and additional marquees to support the event’s needs.
Combining food and fun has been considered in part of new developments as well. As part of the resort’s broader investment in conference and events, Butlin’s also launched the PLAYXPERIENCE facility at Bognor Regis in October. This interactive, 50,000 square-foot hub offers a range of high-tech games, including AR/VR-powered experiences, Escape Rooms, Laser Tag, and Shuffleboard. This fully immersive venue offers delegates a dynamic option for team-building and entertainment, with food and drinks available at the on-site bar to ensure uninterrupted team engagement.
