Trivandi unites with world-leading sustainability company The Bulb, accelerating its ambitious vision for industry-wide impact
Trivandi is proud to announce its acquisition of The Bulb, a global leader in sustainability consultancy. This strategic partnership marks a significant milestone in Trivandi’s growth journey, advancing its mission to create unforgettable experiences that leave sustainable legacies and inspire meaningful impact.
The Bulb’s team will establish a dedicated sustainability business within Trivandi, embedding sustainability into every phase of project delivery. Through Trivandi‘s unique One Team approach, this partnership will fuse Trivandi’s extensive operational experience with The Bulb’s in-depth sustainability knowledge, enhancing Trivandi’s ability to create real-world, forward-looking strategies that deliver actionable solutions.
Co-Founder and CEO of Trivandi, James Bulley, commented:
“We are thrilled to welcome The Bulb to the Trivandi Group. Sustainability has always been core to our vision to create a meaningful impact in our sector and protect our planet. This partnership elevates our ability to take action in the fight against climate change by ensuring every project we work on reduces its carbon footprint through the advice we give and interventions we make. By uniting The Bulb’s award-winning ESG model with Trivandi’s proven strategy, design and delivery expertise, we will raise the bar for sustainability standards across the events, venues, destinations and organisations we serve. This also enables us to continue our mission of improving the industry, applying our learnings from each project to the next, while sharing knowledge and best practice.”
Co-Founder and CEO of The Bulb, Selina Donald, who has become Trivandi’s Director of Sustainability and a member of the Executive Committee, said:
“Having built The Bulb organically for the last decade, I’m excited for the next phase of our growth as part of the Trivandi Group. I founded The Bulb to tackle climate change issues and make a real difference to the communities and environment where major events are held. After collaborating with the Trivandi team on COP28 UAE last year and more recently on Expo 2025 in Osaka, we recognised a shared vision and ambition to create meaningful experiences that push the boundaries of what sustainable event practice can be. My team and I are delighted to be part of the Trivandi family and can’t wait to see what the next chapter brings.”
Trivandi’s acquisition of The Bulb is another key milestone in its incredible phase of growth, as it expands into new sectors and markets. Over the past year, Trivandi’s core staff have doubled across its three offices in London, Dubai and Riyadh, it established the Trivandi Academy to drive forward the professionalisation of the industry and launched its inaugural Major Events 101 training course to upskill aspiring and experienced major events professionals.
Over recent months, Trivandi has also made a number of strategic hires in its newly formed Experience Design Studio, enhancing its capability to create better informed end-to-end guest journeys. By prioritising guest experience and sustainability from the earliest planning phases, Trivandi ensures that each project delivers memorable experiences that drive impactful and sustainable outcomes.
The Bulb’s expert team of six have fully integrated into Trivandi. Together, they will deliver a comprehensive range of services, including event sustainability strategies, operational and design consultancy, training sessions and programmes that engage and educate leadership and teams as part of the Trivandi Academy, certifications including ISO 20121:2014 and carbon footprint measurement and reporting.
