The Design Museum has revealed its full exhibition programme for 2025, with the opportunity for planners to get creative and immerse their guests in London’s trailblazing Blitz club and the unique world of film director Wes Anderson.
Headlining the 2025 programme is a first-of-its-kind exhibition that examines the unique cinematic vision of Wes Anderson, which has been made in collaboration with the celebrated American filmmaker. With each Wes Anderson picture plunging the viewer into a world with its own codes, motifs, references and instantly recognisable sets and costumes, there’s a real opportunity to create unique event experiences that take inspiration from his films.
Blitz: the club that shaped the 80s will be a sensory extravaganza of music, flamboyant fashions and pioneering art, film and graphic design with guests able to experience the trailblazing club before enjoying a party of their own in the museum’s impressive Atrium.
Our century-long love affair with swimming will be explored in a major show spotlighting design’s influence on everything from swimwear to art deco architecture. Splash! A Century of Swimming and Style will dive into design’s role in shaping our relationship with swimming over the past 100 years – both in the water and beside it.
More Than Human brings together art, science and radical thinking to ask how design can help our planet thrive by shifting its focus beyond human needs. Created in collaboration with Future Observatory, this groundbreaking exhibition looks at how we might co-exist with our planet more effectively, something which also permeates the events industry.
The exhibitions will be available for private hire during events with specially curated event packages created in collaboration with accredited suppliers that will bring the themes of the exhibitions to life to create one-off event experiences.
