The QEII Centre appoints new Venue Operations Director

Leading London conference and events venue, The QEII Centre, has strengthened its senior leadership team with the appointment of Peter Ochser as Venue Operations Director.

Peter joins the QEII Centre from his previous role as Deputy Head of Facilities Management for the City of London Guildhall, where he was responsible for facilities management and event support within the historic multi-venue meeting and conference site. In his previous role, Peter helped to deliver many successful large-scale events including state banquets, corporate conferences and high profile industry and social events.

In his new role at The QEII Centre, Peter will have particular responsibility for the strategy and operational delivery of core services such as event management, audio visual, IT, cleaning, maintenance, reception and security.

Commenting on his new role, Peter said: “I am delighted to be joining the iconic QEII Centre, one of the jewels in the crown of the UK meetings and events scene. I am looking forward to the challenge of managing a venue of this scale, and one which offers such a broad range of events to clients from across the UK and beyond. My remit will include ensuring venue operations are best in class, and to deliver a programme of projects to enhance the QEII’s infrastructure, plant and fabric.”

Since 1986, the flexible seven-storey QEII Centre has played host to a huge variety of events, from major international government conferences, to conventions, exhibitions and events for the corporate and association sectors, to dinners, AGMs, award ceremonies and graduations. Situated in a prime location opposite World Heritage Site, Westminster Abbey, the QEII Centre is one of London and the UK’s foremost conference and events centres.
