The Hospitality Professionals Association has revealed early details of its 2024 HOSPACE event, which is set to bring together some of the industry’s leading minds at its annual conference this November.

Confirmed for the Royal Lancaster London on Thursday, November 14, 2024, HOSPACE will once again play host to an array of discussions and workshops covering everything from technology advancements to enhancing the guest experience.

High profile confirmed speakers include renowned economist Thomas Pugh, design leadership strategist Neal Stone, who oversaw the design of British Airways’ world-first flatbed in business class, and Kate Nicholls, CEO of UKHospitality.

Other aspects of the conference are set to include financial insights into the current hospitality climate from HotStats and BDO, while breakout workshops will focus on aspects of financial management, enhancing guest services through technology, travel technology and more.

These will then move onto a People Panel, looking at innovative staffing solutions and how to build a strong workplace culture, before focusing on sales & marketing and revenue management to explore profitability.

Cyber security and terrorism will be another key topic discussed, along with automation in hospitality, which is where Neal Stone will offer his input, exploring how to automate the guest journey and drive revenue.

The day’s educational events will culminate with the Leaders Panel, where top industry leaders will share their insights and experiences, followed by closing remarks from Jane Pendlebury to wrap up the conference.

In the evening, there will be the regular highlight and much anticipated gala dinner, which will include the announcement of the winners of HOSPA’s Inspirational Leaders Awards, which are now open for entries and include a new category in the form of Inspirational Commercial Leader of the Year.

Commenting on HOSPACE and the plans that are coming to fruition, Jane Pendlebury, CEO of HOSPA, said: “HOSPACE has gone from strength to strength over the years – both in regard to numbers, lineup, feedback and the value it offers to those delegates who attend. Our 2024 edition is set to be no different with a fantastic array of speakers in the offing, and we’re hoping for another stellar occasion at the Royal Lancaster, which has so successfully hosted the event for the last few years.”

She added: “In the run up to the event we’ll be searching for those inspirational people in the industry who are leading the way, so if anyone in your field springs to mind, we encourage you to nominate them if you think they’re worthy. It’s the perfect opportunity to reward and recognise those individuals who are making a real difference in hospitality – an industry which is blessed with some fantastic talent.”
