Foxhills Club & Resort’s marketing team of two walked away with the Hotel Marketing Association (HMA) ‘Marketing Team of the Year’ win at an exclusive ceremony in London on Tuesday night, hosted by HMA and the Hospitality Professionals Association (HOSPA).
Josh Abbott, Marketing Manager, and Katie Remnant, Marketing Coordinator, who together are responsible for marketing for the Surrey resort, were commended for exceeding all targets and expectations in their holistic approach to marketing the many areas of the resort, striving for innovation and growing both membership and guest numbers.
2023 was a crucial year for the Foxhills marketing team as the club celebrated 40 years of ownership by the Hayton family. As a marketing team, Josh and Katie used storytelling to enhance the Foxhills brand, strategically implementing impactful campaigns combining email marketing, paid and organic social media promotion and PR with visible results.
Josh said on the win: “It’s still sinking in! It was an honour to be shortlisted, let alone win! It has been a pleasure to work with Katie Remnant and the wider Foxhills team and agencies, who are all so supportive in bringing my vision for the Foxhills brand to life.
“Foxhills strives for innovation, and this year we have worked hard on positioning Foxhills in the market and growing the brand reputation, reviewing our entire approach to marketing of the many facets of the resort, from our golf and active spa offering, to meetings, events and accommodation. Growing our member base continues to be a key focus, and it is great to see that over a quarter of our direct bookings are now coming through our own website and email campaigns.”
