A Space with no Limitations
Spaces & Stories, Broadwick’s event platform, is proud to announce the addition of Deptford Storehouse to their growing list of venues across London.
The warehouse, an open-plan, pillar-free space of over 9,000 square metres, has ceilings that reach up to 15m at the central apex, making it one of the largest uninterrupted spaces in London.
Like Spaces and Stories’ recently closed venue Printworks, Deptford Storehouse has its past in the newspaper industry as a paper storage warehouse. Having only been used in this capacity, the space presents TV and film producers, agencies and brands with a unique look into a never-seen-before venue, ushering in a new era and becoming the ultimate blank canvas warehouse for large-scale set builds, filming, product launches, immersive experiences, consumer festivals and photography.
Located on the riverside, close to the cutting-edge bars and restaurants of Deptford High Street, the Storehouse is only a 6-minute walk from Deptford Station, one stop from London Bridge on the National Rail line and less than a mile from Deptford Bridge on the A2. This makes it accessible for all, alongside its step-free entrance. Cultural highlights nearby include The Albany Theatre, Deptford Market Yard and Trinity Laban dance studios.
The opening of Deptford Storehouse coincides with the regeneration of Convoys Wharf, which aims to provide new urban spaces and public access to the River Thames in an area that has been closed to the public for the last 500 years.
The development will link to, and enhance, the existing High Street and historic town centre of Deptford, providing new employment opportunities, while building on the already established and flourishing creative industries in the area.
Deptford Storehouse is an untouched, dry hire location, providing the freedom to explore big ideas, and with its customisable exterior, organisations are set to achieve maximum exposure with this exceptional branding opportunity.
As an established event platform with a difference, Spaces & Stories work with clients to produce unforgettable events and experiences. This includes drawing on Broadwick’s award-winning production expertise to make client’s ambitious visions a reality, from TV and film production, to product launches and art experiences.
The announcement of Deptford Storehouse reflects Spaces & Stories’ strategy to curate high-impact spaces and deliver long-term value for partners. It joins the roster alongside The Beams, a 20,000 sq. mt. warehouse in the Royal Docks; the 56,485 sq. mt. Drumsheds in Tottenham; and the 15,000 sq. mt. Magazine London in Greenwich.
Simeon Aldred, Director of Strategy at Broadwick says:
“Drawing on our reputation for repurposing historic buildings into sustainable, multi-use homes for the creative industries, Deptford Storehouse is the perfect addition to our diverse portfolio of venues, and continues our work in cultural placemaking; benefiting the communities that live and work in Deptford.”
