Leading cancer charity Look Good Feel Better is delighted to be working with the Hilton Bournemouth to offer free skincare and make-up workshops designed to boost confidence of women, men and young adults with cancer.
A national cancer charity which understands how challenging it can be to process a cancer diagnosis and manage the physical and emotional side-effects of cancer treatment, Look Good Feel Better runs workshops virtually, at Cancer Care Centres and Hospitals across the UK, as well as at the Hilton Bournemouth to support women, men and young adults through this challenging time.
Samuel Hyatt, Look Good Feel Better’s Regional Manager, South West and Wales, says:
“We have been running free workshops led by trained volunteers in the beauty industry for nearly 30 years. They offer practical advice about changes to skin, eyebrows, eyelashes, hair, nails and body confidence and a free goodie bag filled with beauty products worth over £200 is also provided. Volunteers in the health industry also lead our self-care focused workshops covering meditation, breathwork and gentle exercise to help reduce feelings of isolation and anxiety.
“We are delighted to be teaming up with the Hilton in Bournemouth to host our beneficiaries at this welcoming and relaxing venue, which sets the tone for the friendly atmosphere of our workshops. We are extremely grateful to the Hilton for its support, which enables us to continue to offer this extremely important service at a very difficult time of peoples’ lives.”
Faye Goddard, Sales Manager for Hilton Bournemouth says:
‘’It has been such a pleasure to welcome Look Good Feel Better here at the Hilton Bournemouth. The local engagement in our community is of upmost importance to us and to have local ladies using look good feel better visibly has such an impact of how they look and feel coming in to when they leave after their experience, and we love being part of that here at the Hilton Bournemouth’’.
