Shaftesbury Theatre spotlights employees for International Women’s Day

Shaftesbury Theatre, the West End’s largest independent theatre which has recently expanded its hospitality facilities with the launch of its elegant new 1911 events space, celebrates International Women’s Day with a series of videos championing some of the incredible women who work at the theatre.

Deputy Head of House Management, Natalie Gardner; Deputy Head of Electrics, Irma Kent; and Deputy Head of Ticketing, Fiona Brooke-Holland, are all featured in the humorous and light-hearted HERstory campaign videos, which explore the employee’s backgrounds, motivations for working in theatre, and the unusual and eventful experiences they’ve had along the way.

James Williams, Chief Executive, said: “I am hugely proud of our entire team here at Shaftesbury Theatre, who work tirelessly every day of the week to ensure our guests, both leisure and business, have an amazing experience with us. International Women’s Day is a chance for us to shine a light on some of our talented female employees and we’re proud to take part this year with our HERstory videos.”

The 1911 can host up to 150 people for a range of events, including seminars, corporate meetings, training sessions and workshops. In addition, Shaftesbury Theatre’s beautiful Edwardian auditorium can host 1,300 people across three levels, providing the ideal backdrop for conferences, seminars and product launches.
