Keele University Events and Conferencing has a new senior team at the helm with the introduction of a new leadership structure.
Emma Woodcock now heads up the senior team as Head of Catering and Events, following a restructure earlier in the year, which, now also includes two new Senior Events and Conference Manager roles.
Sharon Faulke now leads the University events team and business development through partnerships with academic colleagues and Kathryn Cannell heads up conference delivery and commercial business development. Collectively, these ladies have over 40 years’ experience in delivering conference and events at Keele.
David Boothby, Head Chef joined in 2020 and has worked closely with the senior team to develop a new and exciting catering offer for both conference delegates and university students across the catering outlets.
Jonathan Chambers, is the latest member to join the team in the new position of Head of Catering Operations, leading the team at Keele Hall and University Catering, as part of the senior team within Events and Conferencing. Jonathan brings a wealth of experience from previous roles in stadium and event catering with Elior UK, Centerplate and The Lindley Group and will work closely with the catering team on the operational delivery across campus. Jonathan said: “I’m very excited to be working alongside the team in driving the business forward both in the events and catering arena and re-invigorating the campus catering offer for students, staff and visitors.”
The new team will focus on delivery excellence, partnerships, profile, sustainability and increasing the financial surplus generation to reinvest back into the university.
Keele University Events and Conferencing manage University events as well as the commercial business throughout the year at Keele Hall and in vacation time across the campus. The new senior team will continue to build on the strengths of the award-winning academic venue to deliver year-round conference and events at Keele Hall, maximise the commercial opportunities for events during vacation and consolidate the catering venues across campus to deliver a quality and innovative catering service to the Keele University students.
