The Business of Events (TBOE) has confirmed The Belfry Hotel & Resort as its newest official partner for its 2022 Policy Forum and Parliamentary Dinner.
The Belfry joins ICC Wales, the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS), the All Party Parliamentary Group for Events, VisitBritain, MeetEngland, VisitScotland Business Events, Visit Wales, QEII Centre and the Business Visits & Events Partnership (BVEP) as official partners.
The Business of Events kicks off its 2022 programme with its UK Policy Forum, which will take place on 2nd November at the QEII Centre in Westminster. The Forum will bring together leading destinations and venues from across the UK to connect with senior event and exhibition organisers, trade and membership bodies. They will join representatives from government departments and public sector organisations to discuss how to move the UK business events sector from a purely visitor economy model, to one which is more focussed on delivering policy objectives.
Chris Eigelaar, Resort Director, The Belfry Hotel & Resort, said: “We are pleased to support The Business of Events Forum and Parliamentary Dinner and in doing so, to promote the capacity of business events to support the delivery of key policy objectives. Our industry has an integral role to play in driving socio-economic growth and delivering positive change in our communities and indeed across the country and we’re absolutely committed to continuing to play our part in doing that.”
The invitation-only Parliamentary dinner takes place on the same day at {10 – 11} Carlton House Terrace, home to The British Academy and its hospitality partner Searcys will joint host. The dinner will be held in the Council Room and will celebrate the very best of seasonal British food.
In addition, The Business of Event’s second Global Destination Survey for leading business events destinations, including National Tourist Organisations (NTO) and Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB), is now live. The 2022 study is being conducted by SFA Connect, a global destination and venue research agency, on behalf of TBOE, and the data will be used to create its latest Global Destination Report. The report is due to be published in mid-November 2022.
