The market-leading entertainment concept has announced details of Swingers NoMad (NYC) launch, plus its forthcoming West End London expansion and outlined their pipeline up to end of 2025
Swingers – the high-end crazy golf competitive socialising experience founded in London in 2014 by Jeremy Simmonds and Matt Grech-Smith – announced that its newest venue, Swingers NoMad, will officially open its doors to the public on Friday 17 June. The New York City opening follows the unprecedented success of Swingers’ June 2021 US debut in Washington, D.C. The original London sites – West End and City – continue to thrive with Swingers West End set to unveil a large extension this May.
Located in the heart of Manhattan, beneath the soon to open Virgin Hotel at 29th and Broadway, Swingers NoMad will transport New Yorkers to a bucolic 1920s English country golf club featuring stunning crazy golf courses that are set around an imposing clubhouse. The impressive £9.5m fit-out sits across 23,000 square feet with 20-foot-high ceilings and boasts three nine-hole crazy-golf courses, four gourmet street food brands, six cocktail bars and a host of private rooms for hire. An opulent clubhouse is the centrepiece of the venue.
In both their UK and US venues, Swingers offers guests a delicious and high-quality food experience, partnering with local but well-known restaurant brands. Swingers NoMad sees them partnering with outstanding local and talented gourmet food vendors Sauce Pizzeria, Miznon, Fonda, and Mah Ze Dahr Bakery. The cocktail list will feature signature classic cocktails from London and D.C., as well as 12 cocktails created specifically for Swingers NoMad.
In tandem with its growth across the pond, Competitive Socialising has announced that Swingers West End has undergone an 8,000 square foot extension, to be revealed to the public on 20th May. The extension helps cater to phenomenal demand for the Swingers brand in its home city, with Swingers London revenues forecast at £18m for 2022 and £35m for the year globally. The £2.5m West End fit out will include a new course, The Meteorite Course, a bar, a street food showcase from Patty&Bun and their fried chicken brand, Jeffries, plus a 2500 square foot all-weather roof terrace.
“Swingers will offer New Yorkers a completely unique and immersive experience that is unlike anything they’ve ever seen before,” said CEO and co-founder Matt Grech-Smith. “Following the success of our first U.S. location in D.C., we’re excited to bring Swingers to New York City, a city known for its prominent hospitality industry and eclectic nightlife. Beyond that, we’ve been incredibly busy behind the scenes over the last few years and we are happy to be able to talk about some of our expansion plans as we react to burgeoning demand and grow our business in the U.S. and the U.K.”
Swingers also went into a little more detail about their expansion plans for the next three years:
- In February 2023, Swingers will launch their second venue in Washington, D.C., Swingers Navy Yard, a 24,000 square foot location.
- In total, Swingers plans to open three locations in 2023 and five locations in 2024 and 2025, taking the company to 17 sites by the end of 2025.
- Revenue at the end of 2025 is expected to exceed £170m and the business is expected to be valued in excess of £550m.
