Iconic golf destination, The Belfry Hotel & Resort, which has previously hosted The Ryder Cup four times – more than any other venue in the world – is offering a number of golf packages for leisure and corporate guests, available throughout 2021 and 2022, to celebrate this years’ Ryder Cup so golfers can follow in the footsteps of some of golf’s greatest legends.
This year, the Ryder Cup took place at the Whistling Straits Golf Course, Wisconsin from 24th – 26th September 2021 and saw the USA take victory with a final score of 19-9. The Belfry hosted the coveted Ryder Cup in 1985, 1989, 1993 and 2002 on its legendry Brabazon Course firmly placing The Belfry on the global map. Guests have the chance to play on the world-class course with the 1 night 2 rounds through to 2 nights 3 rounds packages priced from £159 per person.
The Brabazon is well-known for producing some of the most dramatic moments in the history of golf, and golfers can recreate the iconic Ryder Cup shots themselves. From Nick Faldo scoring a hole in one on the par 3, 14th in 1993 to Sam Torrance’s historic putt on the 18th in 1985 which saw Europe win for the first time in 28 years. While at the resort, guests can also admire the hotel’s host of Ryder Cup memorabilia on display and browse the branded merchandise located in The Golf Shop, the largest on‐site outlet in Europe.
