On Friday 27 March Church House Westminster hosted an interactive virtual chat for event professionals with speakers Bernadette Palombo and Chris Pinner. The online one-hour session assessed the current situation faced by many event organisers working from home and managing remote teams, explored various challenges and opportunities during this unprecedented time, and recommended useful solutions for staying well, both physically and mentally.
Chris is the founder of Innerfit. He kicked-off his career at a US investment bank and then strategy consultancy, where projects regularly demanded working weekends, 12+ hour days and the odd 36-hour shift. As a Level 3 Personal Trainer, he specialises in sharing practical tips to help people feel and work well.
Chris does not hold back when speaking and believes that to educate, you must first entertain. His talks are fun, engaging and impactful. No sharing knowledge for the sake of it; just action-oriented tips to get you feeling well and working well.
“Well-being has never been so important. If you want more structure, movement, and motivation in your working day, whilst working from home, we are here to help!”, Chris noted in the lead up to the online event.
Bernadette is the founder of the Event Professionals Journal. She owns her own successful event management business, Salone Events, and wanted to make her solution to event profs’ well-being available to the entire industry. Bernadette’s style is fun, interactive and ensures that you go away with actionable tips to ensure you put your well-being first.
Bernadette commented, prior to the webinar, “During a time of difficulty and challenges, I would like to share with you my top tips to help you maintain positive mental health so that you can continue to put your well-being first”.
The virtual event was set up remotely and managed by the in-house audio-visual team of Church House Westminster utilising innovative event technology to facilitate online events and virtual conferences.
